03 What we handle

One team. The whole job, handled in-house.

You hire one company for the entire commercial signage job, not a separate designer, permit runner, fabricator, and installer who point at each other when something slips. Here's what Crown carries for you.

  • Site check & measurementsWe measure on site, check sightlines, and confirm what will actually work on your building.
  • Design & renderingsWe render the sign to match your brand and the building, so you approve it before we build.
  • Permits & landlord approvalsWe prepare the drawings and pull the development (sign) and electrical permits, plus landlord sign-off.
  • In-house fabricationYour sign is built in our Edmonton shop, aluminum formed and welded, not assembled from a kit.
  • LED & electricalLow-draw LED and wiring to the Canadian Electrical Code, cUL / CSA listed.
  • InstallOur crew installs clean and on schedule, then passes the City electrical inspection.
  • Warranty & serviceBacked by a 5-year warranty, and we service signs after, even ones we didn't build.
04 How we work

From site check to warranty, managed by us.

You talk to the people who measure, design, permit, build, and install your sign, never a call center, never a chain of subcontractors pointing at each other.

1

Site check

We visit the site, take measurements, check sightlines and bylaw setbacks, and confirm what will actually work on your building.

2

Design & quote

We render the sign to match the building and your brand, then quote real options and pricing after a free site survey.

3

Permits & production

We prepare P.Eng-stamped drawings and pull the development (sign) and electrical permits, plus landlord approvals.

4

Fabrication & install

Your sign is built in our Edmonton shop (aluminum formed and welded, LED wired to code), then our crew installs it clean and on schedule.

5

Warranty & support

We pass the electrical inspection, back the sign with a 5-year warranty, and service it after, even signs we didn't build.

06 Common questions

Before you ask.

It depends on the type, size, illumination, and install. Storefront channel-letter signs usually land between $3,000 and $9,000 installed; pylon and monument signs run higher. Send us the project details above and we'll come back with a real number after a free site survey, not a guess.
Most projects run 3–6 weeks from approved design to installation, depending on permit timelines and fabrication complexity. We'll give you a realistic schedule up front and keep you posted at each step.
Yes. Crown is based in Edmonton and serves commercial signage projects across Alberta. Send your location and a few project details, and we'll confirm the best next step.
Yes, and in Edmonton that's usually two permits, not one: a development (sign) permit through the City's Zoning Bylaw, plus a separate electrical permit for any illuminated sign. We prepare the stamped drawings, pull both permits, manage landlord and development approvals, and our installs are done by a certified sign technician so the electrical inspection passes clean.
Yes. Every electrified Crown sign carries a cUL/CSA listing and is wired to the Canadian Electrical Code, exactly what a City electrical inspector and your landlord look for. Structural and footing drawings are P.Eng-stamped where required.
We do. We re-lamp, retrofit old fluorescent or neon cabinets to LED, replace faces and tenant panels, and repair transformers and wiring across the Edmonton area, whether or not we built the sign originally.
